Welcome to the office of the City Clerk!
As a Certified Municipal Clerk and Certified Municipal Revenue Officer for the City of Carbon Hill, I am dedicated to helping our city grow and thrive! Managing city finances is only one facet of my job. I work tirelessly with city department heads to help keep the city running smoothly. I then relay information to the city council and mayor. This process requires teamwork from all sides to ensure we are doing what is best for not only the city but the community.

Hello, I’m Sherry Garner! I’ve been proud to serve as the Carbon Hill City Clerk since the fall of 2019. I’ve called Carbon Hill home my entire life. After spending a few years out of state while my husband served in the United States Navy, we made the decision to come back and plant our roots in the city we love. Watching my children and now grandchildren grow up in Carbon Hill, I am dedicated to helping our community not only grow but thrive!
